8 Ways to Get Your Car Winter Weather Ready

NEW HAVEN – With a winter weather storm in the works for Tuesday morning there’s a checklist you need to make sure your car will be ready for whatever the storm will bring.

News 8’s Stephanie Simoni put one of her coworkers’ cars to the test and it didn’t pass muster. Take a look at the video above.

Here’s a checklist from AAA:

1. Check the battery
2. Check the tire pressure
3. Check headlights, tail lights, brake lights
4. Check windshield wipers
5. Check heater/defroster
6. Check oil/fluids
7. Prepare an emergency kit, have a blankets
8. Fill the gas tank
