A Messy Mix On The Way!

Mostly sleet on the way for slick conditions tonight and tomorrow morning before changing to rain Tuesday. Here’s what to expect!

  • Dry all day today with a cold wind
  • Wind chill today in the 20s with actual temperatures in the 30s
  • Dry this evening other than a flurry in a few spots
  • Main timing on sleet arriving with limited snow 10PM-2AM from west to east
  • Slippery travel overnight as the sleet collects on pavement surfaces
  • Not much accumulation expected with under 1/2″ immediate shoreline to near 2″ for far northern Connecticut
  • Most areas under or near 1″ at most
  • Warmer air invades tomorrow changing the sleet to all rain from south to north
  • Delaying travel is best for commuters Tuesday morning
  • The 95 corridor will be first to go over to all rain around 6-7AM
  • Above freezing with rain midday statewide before the rain tapers during the afternoon
  • Mild air comes in for Wednesday and Thursday with highs around 50
  • A quick round of light rain Wednesday Night across the state as temps remain above freezing
  • New Years Eve weather looks quiet and turning colder for New Years Day
  • A much colder weekend pattern with highs in the lower to middle 30s with nothing more than a flurry

Have a good day! -Gil
