Connecticut Drivers Saving on Gas

WTNH – Good news for Connecticut drivers!  Actually, good news for drivers nationwide.  We’re paying the lowest prices for gas since 2009.  Prices at the pump continue to hover around $2 per gallon.  Monday’s average of $1.99 per gallon is the lowest for this date since the Great Recession.

Here in Connecticut, the average price for a gallon of unleaded is $2.16.  That’s a little bit above the national average.  But, Connecticut is among the top five states seeing the greatest savings year over year.  In fact, gas is 55 cents a gallon cheaper than it was  on this date last year.

You can find current gas prices along their route with the free AAA Mobile app for iPhone, iPad and Android. The app can also be used to map a route, find discounts, book a hotel and access AAA roadside assistance.
