Willimantic man faces narcotics and breach of peace charges

WILLIMANTIC, Conn. (WTNH) — An investigation dating back to the summer led Willimantic detectives to discover a cocaine dealer. Their arrest warrant was coupled with a second offense Saturday night.

Detectives from the Willimantic Police Department began an investigation over the summer targeting known narcotics dealers. Raymond Ortiz-Burgos, 39 of Bridge Street in Willimantic, was of particular interest.

After obtaining a warrant, Ortiz-Burgos was served on Saturday night, and held on a $75,000 police-set bond for selling cocaine. He has a court date for these charges Monday morning in Danielson Superior, as well as for separate charges stemming from a domestic dispute with an ex-girlfriend. The resulting breach of peace charge was also served on Saturday night, and Ortiz-Burgos was held on a $10,000 police-set bond.
