A Slow Change To Rain Happening

Here is what you need to know for this changing weather scenario today:

  • Temperatures slowly continue moving up
  • Above freezing temps and all rain for the I-95 corridor now
  • Much of Northern Connecticut is still in the 20s with sleet and freezing rain
  • Ice accumulation will continue along and north of I84 through 10AM-Noon
  • The precipitation will end from west to east around 1PM-2PM with drying for the evening commute
  • Temperatures will be around 40 this afternoon expect for the higher terrain of Northern Connecticut with 30s 
  • Some low 40s at the immediate shoreline
  • Easy going weather for the evening commute
  • Some dense fog will form in some areas overnight tonight
  • back to Spring like temps tomorrow with highs in the 40s to about 50 under mainly cloudy skies after some early sunny breaks
  • A round of light rain with temps above freezing Wednesday Night
  • The rain moves out with drying and lots of Clouds Thursday
  • Mild again Thursday with highs around 50
  • Quiet for New Year’s Eve. plans
  • Colder air slowly coming in for the first day of 2016
  • Cold with a flurry possible over the weekend
  • Storm-free through early next week
