TULSA, OK (WTNH)– Country music singer Craig Strickland is still missing and his friend’s body has been found after the two disappeared during a hunting trip in Oklahoma.
According to the Huffington Post, 29-year-old Strickland and his good friend 22-year-old Chase Morland, were reported missing on Sunday when their families didn’t hear from them. The two Arkansas men had previously embarked on a hunting trip north of Tulsa during a winter storm.
On Monday, rescuers found Morland’s body. Hours before, he posted one last ominous tweet.

Two hours after that tweet was the last time anyone saw the two men.
On Monday, Strickland’s band, The Backroad Anthem, revealed on their Facebook page that Morland’s body had been found but there is still no signs of Strickland. The band also wrote “everyone please say special prayers for the family of Chase Morland. They were very close friends and it is such a heartbreaking loss.”
New9.com in Oklahoma is reporting that rescuers had found a boat that the two men were piloting capsized in a lake overnight Monday, but there were no signs of the two hunters.
Strickland’s family released a statement on The Backroad Anthem’s Facebook page saying they are still holding out hope he will be found safe.
It read, “we are trying to think of a scenario where he is still alive. Hoping against the odds. We can’t even stand to think about it. We are devastated. Only God and time can put us back together.”
The Backroad Anthem’s next show was scheduled for January 4th in Oklahoma City.
