Shelton police investigating fatal bicycle strike

SHELTON, Conn. (WTNH) — Shelton police are asking the public for help in locating a driver the struck and killed a bicyclist on Bridgeport Avenue last Wednesday morning.

On December 23rd, police say 55-year-old Brian Climis, of Ansonia, was riding a bicycle in the area of 504 Bridgeport Avenue when he was struck by a motorist. Climis sustained serious life-threatening injuries, but the driver left the scene.

Climis was taken to the hospital for treatment, and was listed in critical condition. He succumbed to his injuries the following day.
