State Police Stepping Up Security for Holiday Weekend

KILLINGLY, Conn. (WTNH)- State Police are beefing up security for the busy New Years holiday weekend. Police say they’ll be doing safety spot checks in Killingly this Saturday night, Jan 2.

Police say they’ll have extra patrols in that area. Those extra patrols will be looking for aggressive drivers, and watching out for signs anyone is drinking and driving.

Police say they expect the precautions to keep drivers safe, reducing accidents through the preventative enforcement, like safety spot checks.

Police remind you to always drive safe, wearing your seatbelt, and not drinking and driving.
