8-year-old in serious condition after hit by car


STAMFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Stamford police say an 8-year-old is in serious condition after being hit by a car on Wednesday night.

Police say just after 6 p.m., the child was crossing Glenbrook Road when they were hit by a Toyota RAV4. The child suffered rib and femur fractures, and lung and head injuries in the crash.

The child was taken to Stamford Hospital and is in serious, but stable condition.

Police say the driver was not injured.

This accident is still under investigation. Anyone who may have witnessed this collision is asked to call police at (203)977-4712.
