EAST WINDSOR, Conn. (WTNH) — East Windsor Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding how a man suffered severe injuries Tuesday night.
Police originally reported they were looking for a suspect in a possible hit-and-run on South Main Street after a victim, identified as 33-year-old Shamel Stroman was taken to the hospital suffering from ‘life-threatening injuries.’ Stroman’s condition has since improved.
He told officers that he had been struck by a car. Police tell News 8 that a witness came forward and explained that he saw a man jump on the back of a silver box truck while the truck was stopped at a stop light. As the truck began to accelerate, the witness explained that the man could no longer hold on and fell back into the street. The male got up and did not appear to be injured, according to the witness. The description of the man described by the witness matched that of the Stroman.
It is still unknown at this point the circumstances surrounding the victim’s injuries. Anyone with information on this case is asked to call the East Windsor Police Department at 860-292-8240.
