Seymour police looking for liquor store armed robber

SEYMOUR, Conn. (WTNH) — Seymour police are asking for help identifying a man responsible for an armed robbery on Saturday.

Around 8:30 Saturday night, police received a call of an armed robbery at the Crown Liquor Store at 61 New Haven Road (Route 67).

Police say the man entered the store and went up to the clerk, showed a handgun and demanded money. The clerk gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money and the suspect fled the store on foot. The clerk was not injured during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5’6″ – 5’8″ tall, and medium build. He was wearing a grey hooded-style sweatshirt, black pants with cargo pockets, and two-toned dark-colored sneakers at the time of the robbery.
