State Police remind drivers to completely clean car of snow, ice

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (WTNH) — Connecticut State Police are reminding drivers to always remove snow and ice from vehicles before getting on the road.

State Police tweeted out a picture on Wednesday of a car with a shattered windshield. Police say it happened on I-84 when snow or ice flew off of another car and landed on the Toyota’s windshield.

Now, police are reminding drivers to completely clean off their car before getting on the road. Not only can others get injured, but drivers who don’t clear off their car face a $212 fine.
