Bristol Police respond to reports of attempted robbery, stabbing

BRISTOL, Conn. (WTNH) –On Thursday evening the Bristol Police were sent to the Valero gas station on 228 Pine St for a disturbance call involving people fighting with knives.

The report came in just before 11 p.m. An additional call came in reporting the incident was an attempted robbery in the parking lot of the gas station, according to police. The suspect fled the scene on foot prior to officers arriving. At approximately 11:30 p.m. another call was received from a nearby residence reporting a stabbing. An ambulance was sent to that location where police say a male was found with several stab wounds. He was transported to St Francis Hospital and underwent surgery for non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the two incidents are believed to be related. No names involved in the incidents were given to News 8, due to pending further investigation.
