MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (WTNH) — A convicted felon is under arrest after police allegedly found large amounts of drugs in a Main Street Extension home.
On December 22, Middletown SWAT and Narcotics Detectives served a search and seizure warrant at an apartment on Main St. Extension. The warrant resulted from numerous complaints from neighbors and building management along with surveillance by Narcotics Units.
No one answered the door and police entered the apartment to find large amounts of marijuana. Authorities tell News 8 27.2 grams of marijuana, $203 in cash, a small resealable plastic baggie and 8 plastic tear bags with marijuana residue were found inside the apartment. An ounce of marijuana was also discovered next to the rear tire of a Ford Fusion which was parked in the driveway.
Inside were four people including convicted felon Willie Watford who is currently on probation.
Watford was taken to Middletown Police Headquarters were he was processed on charges of possession of marijuana, intent to sell, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
