BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) — A second suspect has been arrested in connection with the killing of a Bridgeport business owner during a home invasion in October.
Police say 38-year-old Mario Varela was arrested in Hartford on Monday.
He is charged with murder, home invasion, first-degree robbery and risk of injury to a child and was being held pending arraignment Tuesday. It could not be determined if he has a lawyer.
Police tell The Connecticut Post that Varela is one of three men wanted in connection with the Oct. 18 stabbing death of 28-year-old Jayson Rosado. The assailants fled Rosado’s home with cash and jewelry.
Rosado was the owner of All Star barbershop and the father of a young child.
One man was arrested last week and a third suspect is still being sought.
