Screaming Leads to Drug Arrest

West Haven, Conn. (WTNH) – Police were responding to complaints of a woman screaming and being assaulted at a hotel when they discovered instead that the woman had nearly one hundred bags of drugs.

It happened at the Econo Lodge at 370 Highland Street at 4:30 Tuesday morning.  Officers didn’t find anyone who was assaulted in the area. They started knocking on doors to make sure everyone was okay. When they go to one room and Shaquina Privott opened it, they immediately saw drugs.  Police say they found 94 bundles of crack cocaine.

Now 36-year-old Privott of Middletown is facing charges of Possession of narcotics, possession with the intent to sell and other possession related charges. She is being held on bond.
