State police make arrest in Storrs arson case

STORRS, Conn. (WTNH) — Connecticut State Police have made an arrest in connection with an arson investigation that began in October.

State Police had been investigating how a vehicle burst into flames back on October 11. The subsequent investigation determined that the fire was an act of arson.

19-year-old David Kuhn turned himself into police on Tuesday morning. The Sherman man faces first degree charges of arson, criminal mischief, reckless endangerment, conspiracy to commit arson. Kuhn is also charged with tampering with a motor vehicle.

Kuhn appeared in Rockville Superior Court Tuesday, where he posted a $500,000 bond. He is due back in court on January 29th.
