Wallingford woman arrested in Christmas 2012 purse snatching

WALLINGFORD, Conn. (WTNH) – Wallingford police have arrested a 54-year-old woman who they say helped a friend steal an elderly woman’s purse on Christmas Day, 2012.

Police say a friend of Marilyn Nadeau walked up to an elderly woman in the parking lot of the Fairfield Inn on December 25, 2012. They say she showed a gun and took the woman’s purse.

Credit cards that were in the purse were later used in New York. Nadeau and her friend were arrested for robbing another elderly woman in New Jersey and while locked up there, police say Nadeau admitting to being a part of the robbery in Wallingford.

Nadeau is charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny.
