Bridgeport to begin Christmas tree pick up

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) — With Christmas behind us, it’s about time to take the ornaments down and get rid of the tree.

The City of Bridgeport will start collecting Christmas trees on Monday, January 11. The collection continues through Monday, January 18.

If you live in Bridgeport and would like the city to pick up your tree, it must be left curbside, free of all ornaments. Trees with ornaments or trees in plastic bags will not be collected.

Trees can also be brought to the city’s Transfer Station at 475 Asylum Street, but again, must be free of all ornaments and plastic bags.

If you have any questions about tree disposal in Bridgeport, you can call the Bridgeport Roadway Division at (203)576-7124 or (203)576-7751.
