Hoo Hoo! Ansonia’s Sassafras stopped by Good Morning CT

ANSONIA, Conn. (WTNH) — The Ansonia Nature Center’s Director Alison Rubelmann and Ranger Daniel Bosques stopped by Good Morning CT with an owl they rescued, Sassafras.

The two detailed many activities they have available for kids during the winter time to get them thinking about nature even in the cold temperatures.

This weekend they’ve got their weekly event “Creature Feature” where kids get one on one time with their animal ambassadors.

They’re also hosting “Illustrate Aesop’s Fables.” It’s where children’s book illustrator, ANC Ranger Amie Ziner, will guide kids through illustrating a series of 6 stories, using the Nature Center’s real animal specimens.
