Torrington man dead in Litchfield crash

LITCHFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) — A Torrington man is dead after a crash in Litchfield late Saturday morning.

State police say that 61-year-old Leonard R. Thrall Jr. of Torrington was driving on Route 118 just before noon when he drifted off of the roadway.

Police say his vehicle struck several trees in the shoulder, causing heavy front end damage to the car.

Thrall, who was the sole occupant, was taken to Charlotte Hungerford Hospital where he died of his injuries.

Police are still investigating this accident. Anyone with information is asked to give them a call at (860)626-7900.
