Watertown man paid as contractor never finished renovations

ORANGE, Conn. (WTNH) — A Watertown man turned himself in after learning of a warrant for his arrest stemming from an August 2015 incident.

Orange police say 45-year-old John Terlizzi of Watertown was wanted by police after a town resident told them they hired a contractor to do renovation work, paid him $3,900, and never had the work finished.

The police investigation led to an arrest warrant for Terlizzi.

Terlizzi turned himself in on Friday. He is charged with second-degree larceny, making home improvements without certificate of registration, failure to provide receipts/ contracts/ cancellation, and failure to inform of cancellation rights.

He posted a $7,500 bond.
