100 bags of heroin seized in Manchester bust

MANCHESTER, Conn. (WTNH) — Manchester police say they have taken one suspected heroin dealer off of the streets Thursday night.

On Thursday, the East Central Narcotics Taskforce and Manchester police conducted a buy/bust operation to get a heroin dealer with the street name of “Bangz” off of the streets.

Officers identified “Bangz” as 35-year-old Jeffery Pickney of Hartford. Pickney was seen trying to sell heroin and crack cocaine near the Super 6 Motel. Officers seized 100 bags of heroin, 3.5 grams of crack cocaine, 2 Suboxone Sublingual strips 8mg/2mg, a cellphone, and $419.

Pickney is charged with possession of cocaine, heroin, a synthetic narcotic, possession with intent to sell, possession within 1,500-feet of a school, and possession with intent to sell in a school zone.

Officers say 34-year-old Tiffiney Lewis was with Pickney at the time of his arrest. She was given an infraction for possession of marijuana.
