Goodwin College One of 2016 Best Places to Work in CT

EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) – Looking for a great place to work?  For the third year in a row, Goodwin College has once again been named one of the 2016 Best Places to Work in Connecticut.  The Hartford Business Journal and Best Companies Group is giving the career focused non-profit school that recognition.

The Best Places to Work Awards honor companies who rank highest in employee satisfaction as determined by a survey administered nationally by the Best Companies Group. Goodwin College was founded in 1999 as  a nonprofit institution of higher education and is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).

Goodwin President Mark Scheinberg says the award speaks well for the school’s mission. “We are preparing our graduates to take their places in the workforce,” he said. “This vote of confidence, based on our own employees’ feedback, tells us we’re modeling a healthy work environment of respect and encouragement. Our students can’t help but be influenced by that.”

Tim Perkins of the Facilities Department says  he enjoys working at Goodwin because he feels a strong connection there, “I feel that this is my home away from home. I have built a rapport with the staff and students here.”

Goodwin College will be recognized in a special issue of the Hartford Business Journal in print and online, and at a special awards dinner in March.
