In the Bender Kitchen: Easy desserts to impress your Valentine

(WTNH) —  Are you one of those people who struggle with baking? Looking to impress someone special this Valentine’s Day? The singing Chef Neil Fuentes has got you covered! Void the traditional, but not impressive box of chocolates. Check out his super easy recipes for Gooey Smoore Dip and Cookie Chocolate Pie that will surely please your sweetheart.

Gooey Smoore Dip

 

1 bag of Marshmallows

2 Cups of Chocolate Chips

Graham Crackers

 

Directions

Preheat the oven at 400 degrees.

In an oven resistant medium frying pan place the chocolate chips and cover with marshmallows.

Place the pan in the oven. Switch the oven off and torn the broil feature on low for 2 to 4 minutes. Watch them! You want the marshmallows golden brown. Serve with Graham Crackers and a nice bottle of red wine.

 

Cookie Chocolate Pie

 

Directions

2 containers or bags of your favorite pre-made cookie dough.

1 bag of chocolate chips

1/2 cup of walnuts (optional)

1 bag of melting caramel

Ice cream for serving

 

Pre Heat the oven at 350 degrees.

Melt the caramel in the microwave for 45 secs.

Make a Pie shell like base in the bottom of an oven resistant pie container or frying pan.

Place the caramel, walnuts and the chocolate chips inside. Cover with a cover made out of the second cookie dough container.

Bake in the oven for 30 minutes. Serve hot with Ice-cream.
