NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — This week’s Working for Connecticut series takes us to a Crepe cafe in the heart of the Elm City.
Growing up in France, Adeal Chocourie was inspired to create crepes by watching his mother make the french delicacy. “Crepe was a very close product to me since I was a little kid.” he says.
In 2005, after leaving France and his job in the banking industry, Adeal sought out to do something that he was passionate about. That passion has allowed him to open his own business, Crepes Choupette, on Whitney Avenue.
“His Crepes are delicious. I’ve never really had real authentic crepes before until meeting Adeal and coming to his shop,” says one customer.
Looking back on his success, Adeal has only gratitude and thanks for the customers he enjoys seeing every day saying, “It’s amazing, and I’m extremely happy about what people think about me and think about the business. From the bottom of my heart, I want to say thank you.”
