Pedestrian killed after struck by car in Manchester

MANCHESTER, Conn. (WTNH) — One person is dead after being struck by a car in Manchester on Friday night.

Manchester police say just after 7:30 p.m. Friday, a pedestrian was struck at the intersection of Main and Pearl Streets. Police say the vehicle was driving on Main Street when it struck a pedestrian crossing at the intersection.

The pedestrian was taken to Hartford Hospital where police say he died of his injuries.

Police have yet to release the name of the pedestrian.
