State Police arrest two in heroin overdose death

LITCHFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) – State Police have arrested a man and woman in connection with a heroin overdose death in Morris.  On September 19th, 2015, troopers were called to a business in Morris for a medical emergency. They found a 35 year old man dead from a heroin overdose.

Investigators found that the man had visited 7 Brinsmaid Road in Washington, Connecticut in the days before his death.  Police got a warrant and say they found used bags of heroin and drug paraphernalia.  On Thursday, police arrested a man and woman who they say sold the victim the heroin.

Anthony Buonaiuto, 31, Washington, is charged with Manslaughter and Sale of Narcotics.  Dana Baxter, 58, Torrington, is charged with Sale of Narcotics.  Buonaiuto is being held on $150,000 bond.  Baxter is being held ojn $100,000 bond.
