It looks like we may have to deal with the possibility of some significant Winter Weather over the upcoming weekend. The big question however regarding this storm is the potential track of this low. This has a lot to do with high pressure to the north of us. This high pressure is needed to provide cold air for the precipitation to fall as all snow. The question is that the high pressure may cause most of the precipitation slide underneath us and spare us from a significant winter storm. The mid-Atlantic states could see something more significant from this storm. This pattern reminds me a lot of the Winter of 2009-2010 where the mid-Atlantic states saw a major winter and we just saw lighter amounts of snowfall here in Connecticut. Stay tuned because as the storm gets closer we will know a lot more about what we can expect here in Connecticut over the weekend.
