Greenwich declares ‘snow emergency’

GREENWICH, Conn. (WTNH) — The shoreline storm has led Greenwich officials to declare a “snow emergency” throughout the entire town.

The Greenwich Board of Selectmen released that decision Saturday afternoon saying that the emergency will start at 4:00 pm on Saturday. The town is expected to receive up to 20 inches of snow by midnight Saturday night. At this time, it is not clear how long the emergency will be in effect.

Residents are urged to stay inside and off the roads during the storm.
