Road closures, power outages after CT Transit bus crash in Greenwich

GREENWICH, Conn. (WTNH) — An accident involving a city transit bus has caused road closures and power outages in Greenwich.

According to the Greenwich Police and Fire Departments, a CT Transit bus slid down a hill and struck a pole.

Officials say there were seven riders on the bus. At least one has been taken to Stamford Hospital with a possible internal injury.

Eversource reported 178 outages due to the crash. As of 2:30 p.m., that number was down to 35 outages.

The intersection at Soundview and Arch Street is closed.
