Two taken to hospital after Bridgeport home invasion

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) — Three college students were reported to be victims of a home invasion in Bridgeport on Saturday.

Police said they responded to a home on Old Town Road, after receiving calls made by Sacred Heart students regarding a shots fired and a robbery.

Officers said when they arrived at the home, they found a 40 caliber shell casing and a bullet fragment.

According to police, three male suspects forced their way into the home through the front door, pistol whipped the students and took off with the victim’s cell phones and watch.

Police said during the attack, one suspect fired the gun, and helped the others ransack a downstairs area.

The suspects were wearing dark clothing  and orange ski masks, police said.

One suspect is described as being a light skinned hispanic male, having long curly hair.

Two of the victims were taken to an area hospital and treated for lacerations to their heads.

The case remains under investigation. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact the Bridgeport Police Department.
