(WTNH) – AAA said that its rescue crews responded to a number of accidents, disabled vehicles, dead battery calls and more on Sunday.

The auto club said its crews responded to more than 700 calls for help before 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.

A majority of those calls came from locations along the shoreline.

AAA said that is at least 40 percent more than the average number of calls it receives on a typical Sunday.

The auto group said some drivers even slid off their own driveway and had to call for help.
