CT man charged after crashing into Chevy Chase movie prop

Movie prop gazebo hit by CT driver

David Page IIITOWNSHEND, Vt. (WTNH) – A Noank man is facing drunk driving charges, after police in Vermont say he plowed his car into a gazebo that was built for a Chevy Chase movie.  On Friday night Vermont State Police say David Page, 71 of Noank, Connecticut, drove his BMW more than 150 feet across the town green in Townshend, Vermont, smashing into a gazebo.  The gazebo was built for the 1988 movie “Funny Farm” featuring Chase.  No one was hurt, but the gazebo was damaged.

Vermont State Police say Page failed a field sobriety test and blew a .181% on a breathalyzer test. He is due to be arraigned in Windham, Vermont on February 9.
