Report: Connecticut near top of worst states to retire in

WASHINGTON (WTNH)  — Connecticut has been found to be one of the worst states to retire in.

According to financial website Wallethub, Connecticut was ranked the 48th worst state to retire in. The site’s analysts compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across 24 key metrics to achieve its results. Their data set ranges from the adjusted cost of living to the number of various entertainment options per capita to public-hospital rankings.

Connecticut ranked 45th for the cost of living, 23rd for annual cost of in-home services, 47th in Wallethub’s taxpayer ranking and 25th with number of health-care facilities per capita.
