WINDSOR, Conn. (WTNH) — Windsor Police have arrested a Bloomfield man who they say began to assault someone in a fit of road rage.

Police first received a 911 call from a motorist who reported that another driver was using his pick-up truck to repeatedly ram the victim who was driving on Route 305 from Bloomfield into Windsor. The caller did not know the identity of the suspect or why this assault was occurring.

The suspect, identified as 49-year-old Joyceson Young then allegedly rammed the victim’s vehicle into a snowbank and proceeded to punch the victim. As police arrived, Young took off in his car, leading authorities on a chase that ended when he crashed his car into another vehicle.

Young was taken into custody following a brief struggle with officers. Both he and the victim were taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the car Young crashed into was not injured during the collision.

Young is charged with a multitude of charges including assault and reckless endangerment in the first degree. He is scheduled to appear in Enfield Superior Court on February 2.
