LOS ANGELES (WTNH)– A member of the popular boy band One Direction took to social media to share the first photo of the band’s newest member, his six-day old son Freddie.

24-year-old Louis Tomlinson shared the first photo of his baby boy on his Instagram and Twitter Wednesday night. Tomlinson posted an adorable black-and-white photo of himself shirtless, holding the newborn in his arms with the caption “Meet my little lad, Freddie.”

Freddie was born on January 21st to the singer and stylist Briana Jungwirth in Los Angeles. Mom posted her own snap of Freddie on her Instagram as well.

Tomlinson indicated that the baby will take his last name after referring to him in a tweet as “Freddie Tomo.”

The One Directioner told fans he is very happy with the new addition.

Fans seems to be just as happy for Tomlinson. Time reports that #Freddie became a trending topic worldwide mere minutes after Tomlinson shared the photo, proving the social media power of One Direction fans. However, there was some confusion with the baby’s name. The Sun falsely reported the child was named Sydney Rain, while a photoshopper created a fake People article that said the baby was named “Conchobar.”
