Report-It Recap: January 29, 2016

(WTNH) — We finally got to see some winter weather thanks to last weekend’s storm. The News 8 inbox was non-stop with so many great pictures.

The shoreline saw the most impact. Between the wind and snow. There was flooding in East Haven. Dawn in North Stonington sent us the before and after of her back yard. What a difference.

You got out the rulers to measure it at all. The amount varied depending on where you live. After a while it didn’t seem to matter anymore. Too much is too much.

Of course the kids loved every minute of it. As they should they don’t have to drive or work in it — Just have fun. Which is exactly what some adults were doing.

There was finally enough snow to build a snow man. Plus, a chance for kids to  get their sleds out. Paul played some golf in the snow. Amy and her family made a giant igloo in Old Lyme.

The animals also got a chance to get outside and play.

I think we can all agree whether you like the snow or not, it sure does look beautiful in the right setting.
