Firefighters injured battling Berlin blaze

BERLIN, Conn. (WTNH) — An overnight fire at a Berlin home left two firefighters injured.

The blaze broke out at a home at 88 Wildem Road Friday night. Four people were inside that home at the time, but all made it out without sustaining any injuries. Sadly two dogs and a cat were not able to escape the blaze.

News 8 has learned the two firefighters sustained minor injuries. One was evaluated and treated at the scene while the other was taken to the hospital for a minor knee injury.

The fire has displaced the four people who were inside that home.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
