HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Police are trying to locate the family of a person who was killed in car accident early Saturday morning.
Hamden officers say just after 3:00 a.m., a car crashed near Whitney Avenue and Lincoln Street.
Once first responders got on scene they say the car was engulfed in flames. After the fire was extinguished, officers located the driver dead inside the car.
After investigating, officers believe the car was traveling northbound on Whitney Avenue, crossed the center line, left the roadway and struck a building sign. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending the notification of family.
