SUFFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) — Mountain Road in Suffield was closed for several hours Saturday after a crash that sent one person to the hospital.

Suffield police say a Jeep struck a utility pole in the area of Mountain and Babbs Road around 5 p.m. The driver was transported to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Officers say the road is now getting by on one lane as crews replace the pole. The road is expected to be fully open by the end of the night, but police say to expect delays in the area.
