Road rage incident leads to attempted robbery in East Windsor

EAST WINDSOR, Conn. (WTNH) — Officers from East Windsor are investigating a road rage incident that turned physical Saturday night.

Police say a male driver reported that a white Nissan Sentra tried to run him off the highway around 5 p.m. The man then followed the suspect vehicle into the Shell gas station on Bridge Street.

According to officials, the man allegedly took a picture of the suspect’s license plate with his phone. A white female passenger got out of the suspect vehicle to approach the victim, where she stole his phone and ran into the gas station.

Once both of them were inside, a white male got out of the suspect vehicle and threatened the victim with a pocket knife. Police say the victim was able to retrieve his phone before the suspects fled the scene.

This incident remains under investigation.
