Convicted murderer escapes from halfway house in Hartford

(WTNH)–Police in Hartford are looking for help from the public Monday night after a convicted murderer broke out of a halfway house in Hartford.

Police said Timothy Fair, who stands 5-8, 160 pounds, busted out of the halfway house located on Washington Street in Hartford. Its name is “Community Partners in Action.” Fair was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison for murder and first-degree robbery back in 1982.

He has ties to the Hartford and New Haven areas, according to police.

Anyone with information on Fair’s whereabouts is asked to call police at 860-534-1000, or anonymously text “TIP711” with your information to 236748.
