EAST GRANBY Conn. (WTNH) — All East Granby schools have been placed in a “lock-in mode” as Connecticut State Police are locating a bank robbery suspect.
Schools were dismissed at noon on Monday due to the weather, but there are still some students and staff in the building. Officials confirm to News 8 that the school is in “lock-in mode”, which means all exterior doors have been secured, and no one will be allowed access into or out of the building.
State Police are asking the public to be on the lookout for a white male in his 40s to 50s with a husky build. Troopers say the suspect robbed an East Granby bank, and then fled in a black Chevrolet Tahoe SUV.
