UTAH (WTNH)– Reality TV star Kristin Cavallari’s brother’s death has been ruled accidental and caused by hypothermia.

This comes two months after the body of 30-year-old Michael Cavallari was found outside in a national park, where he was exposed to frigid temperatures during his two week disappearance.

On November 27th, Cavallari’s car was found abandoned in the wilderness, but his remains were not found until December 10th at the bottom of a hillside, surrounded by boulders. According to TMZ, his body was found naked with his clothes strewn around him due to a common phenomena associated with hypothermia called “paradoxical undressing.”

TMZ also reports that Cavallari’s mother had told investigators that he was diagnosed as bipolar and suffered from paranoia. He had also believed gang members were out to get him at the time of his death. Police also found two cell phones, a laptop and a golf bag filled with $18,000 in cash in his abandoned car.

Kristin Cavallari, 28, was the star of MTV reality shows “Laguna Beach” and “The Hills,” before marrying Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler. Just after her brother’s death she wrote on her Instagram, “Mikey, I could always count on you to make me laugh. You had such a good heart and will be forever missed. I’m at a loss for words but I know u are in a better place and finally at peace. I love u so much RIP.”
