State Troopers Investigate Untimely Death

Old Lyme, Conn. (WTNH) – Officials now say the body of a man found in Old Lyme is Charles Carr, who had been reported missing. Earlier this week, the body was found in the water in Old Lyme off Osprey Road. Troopers say when they arrived they checked to see if there was a pulse, but there was no signs of life. Detectives from Central District Major Crime responded to the scene to assist with the investigation.

Carr was reported missing from Middletown on November 27, 2015. The Connecticut State Police, the Middletown Police Department and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner worked in conjunction to confirm the identity. The Medical Examiner confirmed Carr’s identity through dental records. Investigators do not suspect foul play.
