HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Undercover detectives from the Hartford Police Department responded to several complaints of a suspect selling counterfeit tickets outside Wednesday night’s Bruce Springsteen concert.

Members of the Hartford Police Department’s Vice and Narcotics Unit conducted a sweep outside the Bruce Springsteen concert at the XL Center on Wednesday evening, after receiving word of scalpers in the area. Police say some of these reports were linked to a Craigslist ad, and they were furnished with a description of and phone number for the suspect.

As they canvassed the area, Detective Salkeld was offered tickets to the sold out show by an individual, that he soon determined were duds. Detective Salkeld discovered seven more counterfeit stubs on the individual, Michael Finnimore, 51, of Hartford, and promptly arrested him.

Finnimore was charged with forgery and larceny.
