HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Connecticut’s Department of Motor Vehicles has a new leader, and he starts work Friday.
Dennis Murphy will officially take over as Acting DMV Commissioner. Murphy has served as an acting Commissioner before, having served in that role at the Connecticut Department of Labor earlier in his career.
Murphy replaces Andres Ayala, who stepped down in January after months of issues at the DMV following a troubled computer system upgrade.
