New London man busted with heroin, marijuana in his home

Eric Cherry, 32, of New London, accused of having heroin, marijuana and cash in his home.

NEW LONDON, Conn. (WTNH) — A New London man is facing charges after police found heroin, marijuana and hundreds of dollars in cash in his home.

According to police, officers arrested Eric Cherry, 32, just before 4 pm on Thursday.

Cherry is accused of having about 5 grams of heroin, marijuana and $571 cash in his Farnsworth Street apartment.

Police charged Cherry with possession of narcotics, sale of narcotics and sale of narcotics with 1,500 feet of a school.

Authorities say this is an ongoing investigation.
