New London officers bust heroin dealer

NEW LONDON, Conn. (WTNH) — Following a long-term criminal investigation, officials with the New London Police Department carried out a search and seizure warrant on Thursday morning.

In a joint investigation between the New London Police Department’s Vice and Intelligence section and the detective division, officers obtained a search and seizure warrant. It was executed at 10:09 on Thursday morning, at 74 Blackhall Street.

On the premises, officers discovered heroin and crack cocaine packaged for sale, oxycodone pills, and suboxone films. There was also drug paraphernalia used to package and weigh narcotics.

Tyron Johnson, 28, of New London, was arrested and charged with four charges of possession of narcotics, two charges of sale of narcotics, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
